<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity by dispensing with an inspection mold having been conventionally used for a shape inspection and saving time and labor compared to the conventional art. <P>SOLUTION: The positional information of a glass plate 100 on a tool 21 is obtained before air-cooling and tempering treatment and the quality of the glass plate after the air-cooling and tempering treatment is decided on the basis of the positional information. The method of manufacturing air-cooled tempered glass includes, for example, a step of bending the glass plate placed on the tool to have a prescribed shape in a heating furnace, a step of picking up an image on the glass plate placed on the tool, a step of obtaining the positional information for the glass plate with respect to the tool on the basis of the picked-up image, a step of deciding the quality of the glass plate on the basis of the positional information, and a step of carrying out air-cooling and tempering treatment of the glass whose quality is decided by blowing a cooling medium to the glass plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
