PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control means for a tuning circuit that reduces insertion loss of the tuning circuit in the presence of a weak electric field by increasing a circuit Q of the tuning circuit for suppressing a disturbing wave in the presence of a strong electric field. SOLUTION: A receiving device is equipped with a level detection section 9 which detects a level at a designated point in the receiving device and a circuit Q control section which controls the circuit Q of a selectivity-variable tuning means 4 provided to a receiving device input stage. When the detected signal level is small, the circuit Q of the selectivity-variable tuning means 4 is controlled to be small to suppress an increase in insertion loss of a desired wave and when the detected signal level is large, on the other hand, the circuit Q of the selectivity-variable tuning means 4 is controlled to be large to increase a quantity of suppression of a disturbing wave.
