PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow control device that generates less noise and consumes less power. SOLUTION: The flow control device comprises a flow controlling valve element 4 capable of intermittent linear motion interlocked with a movable element 8 of a linear actuator L; and controls the flow rate of a fluid circuit by the movement of the valve element 4. The movable element 8 is capable of intermittent linear motion by the attraction of a plurality of electromagnets 71 and 73 arranged along the motion range of the movable element 8.
