PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid which is used for coating glass fibers, gives an excellent adhesive strength between rubber-reinforcing glass fibers and a heat-resistant rubber, when coated on a glass fiber cord to form the rubber-reinforcing glass fibers having the coating layers, maintains the performance for a long time without deteriorating the adhesion strength between the rubber-reinforcing glass fibers and the heat-resistant rubber, even when coated on the glass fiber cord after the passage of a long time, namely has a long life, and enables the continuous production of the rubber-reinforcing glass fibers for a long time. SOLUTION: This coating liquid for coating the glass fiber cord is characterized by dispersing a monohydroxybenzene-resorcinol-formaldehyde resin (A), vinylpyridine-styrene-butadiene copolymer (B) and chlorosulfonated polyethylene (C) in water to form the emulsion.
