<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP telephone device and an IP adapter device capable of transmitting and receiving transfer data at a transfer speed in accordance with to the state of communication with a communication partner without imposing a burden on an operator. <P>SOLUTION: Before a state that the transfer data are transmitted to and received from the communication partner is established, a communication state measurement section 3 measures the state of communication with the communication partner. Then a transfer speed setting section 6 sets the transfer speed of the transfer data by a communication interface 2 to a transfer speed according to the measurement result on the basis of the measurement result by the communication state measurement section 3. Even during a transfer period in which the state that the transfer data can be transmitted to and received from the communication partner is established, the communication state measurement section 3 measures the communication state and the transfer speed setting section 6 sets the transfer speed same as before the establishment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
