BLOOD PRESSURE-MEASURING APPARATUS AND BLOOD PRESSURE JUDGMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure-measuring apparatus and a blood pressure judgment method, which achieve improved measurement accuracy of blood pressure measurement at a minute part of a part of the external ear.

SOLUTION: The blood pressure-measuring apparatus is provided with: two cuffs respectively put on or around the left and right external ears of a living body and for pressurizing the left and right external ears or the peripheries with equal pressing pressure; two pulse wave detection means for respectively detecting pulse waves from the left and right external ears or the peripheries respectively pressed by the two cuffs; a pressure detection means for detecting the pressing pressure to the left and right external ears or the peripheries by the two cuffs; and a blood pressure judging means for judging a systolic blood pressure, a diastolic blood pressure or a heart rate on the basis of the pulse waves detected by the two pulse wave detection means and the pressing pressure detected by the pressure detection means corresponding to the pulse waves in the state of reducing or increasing the pressing pressure to the left and right external ears or the peripheries by the cuffs.
