PRODUCTION METHOD FOR POLYETHYLENE RESIN COATING METAL PIPE AND POLYETHYLENE RESIN COATING METAL PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably produce a metal pipe having a thick film coating in which thickness of the coating of a polyethylene resin is 5.0 mm or more using a fluid dipping tank.

SOLUTION: A fluid bed of the polyethylene resin is formed by blowing air from below the polyethylene resin powder stored in the tank and the pre-heated metal pipe is immersed in the fluid bed. After immersion, air-blowing is stopped and further, air in the tank is sucked to form the coating layer of the polyethylene resin fused on an outer surface of the metal pipe. The metal pipe is preferably immersed in the fluid bed while inclining the metal pipe in a direction that a horizontal position is not generated on an axis of the metal pipe.
