A clinical procedure regulating tag has a procedure area in which procedural information can be marked, and input regions which can be marked by persons related to the procedure. This may provide a record of important details of an operation, such as on which hand side of the body the operation is to take place. The tag may be attached to a left or right arm or leg to indicate such. Also disclosed is a clinical procedure regulating tag which can be strapped with either a first, or second, face up. Also disclosed is a reader, of tags carrying machine readable indicia, related to the access of a clinical area, and a corresponding method in which a positive identification permits access to a clinical area. Also disclosed is a system in which an optical scanner reads and displays an image of a tag. |
