An integrated storage device (50) for transferring data between a remote base station (130) and an appliance (110), includes a non-volatile storage device (101) configured for storing the data, an antenna (106) and a processor arrangement (100). The antenna (106) is configured for wirelessly receiving electrical energy from the remote base station (130) in order to power the non-volatile storage device (101). The antenna (106) is also configured for transferring the data between the remote base station (130) and the non-volatile storage device (101). The processor arrangement (100) is permanently operationally connected to the non-volatile storage device (101). The processor arrangement (100) is configured to manage data transfer between the non-volatile storage device (101) and the appliance (110) when the processor arrangement (100) is electrically connected to a power supply (112) via a wired power link (121).
