A drive of the round-knitting machine has electric motor with shaft and vertical drive shaft, those are kinematically connected to each other by means of mechanical transmissions. The mechanical transmissions are arranged as chain transmission with drive sprocket rigidly installed on the shaft of the electric motor, and the driven sprocket rigidly installed on the vertical drive shaft.
