<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in unnecessary communication due to retransmission of output data. <P>SOLUTION: In this system, if an abnormal state occurs in which print processing of an image indicated by print data received from a functional server 20 in the composite machine 10 cannot be normally performed, transmission of the print data by the functional server 20 is stopped. After that, the composite machine 10 requests the functional server 20 to retransmit the print data for which the print processing has not normally performed, thereby transmitting the print data from the functional server 20 to the composite machine 10. As described above, the retransmission request is made from the composite machine 10 to the functional server 20, thereby retransmitting the print data from the functional server 20 to the composite machine 10.
