PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance of a camera including an image stabilization system. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for adjusting the composition responsiveness of a camera (100) including an image stabilization system (114). In example embodiments, the composition responsiveness may be adjusted in response to a particular photographic situation, including a scene condition, a camera optical configuration, a camera mode setting, or any combination of these.
