<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the property of insertion into the coelom and curability by enhancing the quality and performance of a medical guide wire composed of a leading end into which a coiled spring body 3 with both ends fixed to a core material 2 is fitted. <P>SOLUTION: The distal end 2A of the core material 2 is formed in such a tapered shape as to be diameter-reduced in a gradually changing manner or in a tapered manner in the direction of a leading end; a part with a length of at least 20 mm from a leading end is formed as a zone LA where the spring body 3 and the core material 2 are not integrated together; a group of fixing points P is provided in each of an intermediate zone L2 with a length of 50-125 mm from the tip T and a hand-side zone L3 with a length of 125-300 mm from the tip T; a fixing point span SA of the zone L3 is set larger than a fixing point span SB of the intermediate zone L2; and the fixing point P has a structure which is composed of a doughnut shape with a width of 0.3-1.5 mm wherein an inner periphery of the spring body 3 and an outer periphery of the core material 2 are fixed and integrated together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
