PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development cartridge and an image forming apparatus capable of enhancing work efficiency at the time of removal of a gear, etc. SOLUTION: A development cartridge has a case 25 to which a development roller 31 is rotatably attached, an input gear 60 capable of transmitting drive force to the development roller 31, an agitator gear 66 connected to a shaft 35 of an agitator 36, a connection gear engaged into the input gear 60 and the agitator gear 66 and a support member 70 which is constituted as a separate object from the case 25 and rotatably supports a transmission gear, the support member 70 is detachably constituted to the case 25 integrally with the input gear 60 and the agitator gear 66.
