<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple structured curbstone block with low production costs, which guides pedestrians from a footway to a pedestrian crossing or from a pedestrian crossing to a road with safety during night. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 5 is placed within the body 2 of a curbstone block laid along the borderline between a road and a footway. The block body 2 made of a recycled plastic and molded into a prescribed shape has an opening at its upper part where a luminous chamber 3 and an electricity accumulation chamber 4 are formed. The light-emitting device 5 incorporates an LED 51 and a baseboard 54 to control the light-emission of LED. A transparent surface-emission plate 6 is fixed to cover the top surface of the luminous chamber 3. A light dispersion surface 61 is formed nearly all over the inner side face of the transparent surface-emission plate 6. An electricity accumulation body 7 is arranged within the electricity accumulation chamber 4, and a solar battery panel 8 is installed to cover the top face of the electricity accumulation chamber 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
