<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To narrow and retrieve a related document which is really required at the time of retrieving the document related to a document in addition to a desired document. <P>SOLUTION: A document managing device is provided with a node designation processing part 6 designating a node to which the document is registered among nodes in a managing system displayed on a display 4 and an information designation processing part 7 designating attribute information of the document being an object of registration and designating attribute information of the related document related to the document and related significance information showing related significance. A document file of the document being the object of registration is registered in the node designated by the node designation processing part 6.
