HALF-OPENING STOP DEVICE OF SLIDING DOOR FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a half-opening stop device of a sliding door for a vehicle capable of preventing useless power consumption and surely stopping the sliding door at a half-opening position when a predetermined condition is satisfied.

SOLUTION: The half-opening stop device includes: a stopper member 30 moveable to a projecting position making the sliding door possible to stop at a half-opening position and an immersion position impossible to abut on the other and making the sliding door impossible to stop at the half-opening position provided at either the sliding door or the body side and abutting on an abutted section 10a formed at the other; a forward and reverse rotatable motor 31; decelerating gear 31a, 32 each of which reduces the revolution of the motor 31, moves the stopper member 30 to a protruded position and a recesses position by the reduced rotational force, and can be held in each position; and a control means capable of driving and controlling the motor 31 in the direction where the stopper member 30 is moved to the projecting position from the immersion position when the predetermined condition cones into effect.
