<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make nonuniform gloss less likely to occur when a recording material is returned. <P>SOLUTION: The double-sided image forming apparatus includes: a return passage 17 for returning a recording material to an image forming section in order to form an image on the other side of the recording material on one side of which an image has been formed, heated, and fixed by the image forming section; conveying roller pairs 74 and 75 partially disposed in the return passage 17 in the direction of a recording material width. The return passage 17 defines a passage for an air current flowing in the direction of recording material conveyance. In the double-sided image forming apparatus, the rollers 75 of the conveying roller pairs 74 and 75 are disposed so as to be rotatable on a guide member 73 that guides a recording material.
