BROADBAND D/A CONVERTER AND BROADBAND POWER AMPLIFIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadband D/A converter for covering a broadband with a high resolution and a broadband power amplifier employing the broadband D/A converter with a simple circuit configuration. SOLUTION: A band split section 3 splits a received digital envelope signal into each frequency band. Then n-systems of the D/A converters 5-1 to 5-n respectively individually convert the split digital envelope signals into analog signals. Up-converters 6-1 to 6-n of respective systems up-convert the converted analog signals into analog signals each with a proper frequency band. An adder 7 summates the up-converted analog signals and the summated signal is transmitted as an analog envelope signal corresponding to the original digital envelope signal.
