PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition containing an unsaturated polyester resin, excellent in water resistance, dryability and adhesion and also good in water-resistant adhesion to steel plate surface. SOLUTION: The coating composition comprises (A) an unsaturated polyester resin having polyhydric alcohol allyl ether units, (B) a polymerizable unsaturated compound, (C) a pigment and (D) an antirust agent.
