PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredder shredding mechanism capable of storing a motor at one side of a base and outstandingly reducing a volume of the shredder without affecting to a vertical space of a trash box by a structure that the motor and a rotation blade are vertically installed each other, and a shredder. SOLUTION: The shredding machine of the shredder and the shredder are provided with a core part cover; the motor; a speed change mechanism; and at least two rotation blades. A power source is externally connected to the motor and the speed change mechanism has an output gear and is installed on a rotor of the motor. The at least two rotation blades are installed on the core part cover and have rotation shafts independently. Column gears engaged with each other are installed on one end in the same direction of the respective rotation shafts and a transmission gear is installed on the rotation shaft of any one of the rotation blades.
