PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve formed to satisfy large flow characteristics and atomizing penetration property at the same time. SOLUTION: In the fuel injection valve, a valve seat member 3 having an annular valve seat 8 on which a valve element 18 is seated in an openable/closable manner is provided with a nozzle 10 located downstream of the valve seat 8 and having a plurality of fuel injection holes 11 arranged around a centerline Y of the valve seat 8. The respective fuel injection holes 11 of the nozzle 10 are arranged such that a main stream S of fuel having passed the valve seat 8 directly collides with the inner surfaces of the fuel injection holes 11 when the valve element 18 is opened. Consequently, when the valve element 18 is opened, the main stream S of fuel having passed the valve seat directly collides with the inner surfaces of the fuel injection holes 11 with almost no pressure loss.
