<p>A handoff method of mobile terminal comprises the steps of judging whether the mobile terminal that needs to handoff uses the high speed packet shared channel or dedicated channel; judging whether there is different frequency neighbor cell that does not support high speed packet shared channel, and handing over the mobile terminal from the cell using the high speed packet shared channel to the different frequency neighbor cell that does not support high speed packet shared channel, and handing over the mobile terminal using dedicated channel to the neighbor cell according to the signal quality of the neighbor cell. According to the designed channel resource of the mobile terminal in the cell, present invention provides a handoff method of mobile terminal in mobile communication network in case that the HSDPA function supported by base station are different, thus overcoming the shortcoming present due to the handoff between HS-DSCH and DCH by initiating compress mode of inter-frequency measurement, realizing high quality service for mobile terminal in the whole network by obtaining continuous transmission cover to perform high data transmission.</p> |
