PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a cellulose acylate film which has a good surface condition and exerts an excellent stability in the form of a solution, by casting the solution on a support and releasing the formed film within a short time. SOLUTION: The cellulose ester solution, prepared by dissolving a cellulose ester and a polymer having a fluorine atom in a halogen-based organic solvent, is cast on a support, and the cellulose ester film formed on the support is released from the support. Here, the cellulose ester satisfies the relations: 2.50≤A+B≤3.00, 0≤A≤1.75 and 1.25≤B≤3.00 (wherein A is the degree of substitution of acetyl groups against hydroxy groups in the cellulose; and B is the degree of substitution of 3-22C acyl groups).
