PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal obtaining an accurate azimuth at all times even when a distance or a direction from a magnetism generating part such as a speaker to a magnetism detector is changed due to opening / closing or turning of cases. SOLUTION: The mobile terminal 101 hinging at least two or more cases in a plurality of forms wherein relative parting states differ, includes: a magnetism detection section 8 which is provided on at least one of a plulality of cases and detects a quantity of magnetism; a storage section 9 for storing a quantity of effect due to the magnetism from a magnetism generating source which the mobile terminal 101 includes; a case shape detection section 4 for detecting a hinged shape of the mobile terminal 101; a data processing section 3 for correcting the quantity of magnetism detected by the magnetism detection section 8 on the basis of the quantity of effect stored in the storage section 9 in the hinged shape detected by the case shape detection section 4; and a position measurement section 2 for measuring an azimuth on the basis of the magnetism corrected by the data processing section 3.
