PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip crushing belt capable of preventing sticking of a chip to a chip crushing surface, while restraining compressive deformation in the thickness direction of the belt itself. SOLUTION: The chip crushing surface 2 includes a rubber composition 20 having electric conductivity. An electric resistance value is set to 1×10<SP>4</SP>Ωto 1×10<SP>7</SP>Ω, and hardness is set to 92°to 99°, and the whole thickness of the chip crushing belt 1 is set to 0.3 mm to 1.0 mm. The chip is also crushed or compressed by using the belt 1 having stress of 300 N or more when imparting the compressive deformation of 10% in the thickness direction of the belt 1 by superposing four belts 1.
