PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and inexpensive image forming system. SOLUTION: The image forming system is provided with: a first apparatus including a power supply section for generating a drive voltage and an image forming section; a second apparatus including a control section for controlling the image forming section; and a power supply member provided removably to the first and second apparatuses, whereby the first apparatus applies the drive voltage to the second apparatus. The first apparatus is characterized by being furthermore provided with a voltage supply control section for completing the operation of the image forming section when the power supply member is disconnected from at least either of the first and second apparatuses in the case that an image forming apparatus forms an image, and then stopping production of the drive voltage by the power supply section.
