PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold an elastic member located near a lining in an elastic condition with the temperature rise of the lining. SOLUTION: This disc pad comprises the elastic member 40 arranged between a base plate 12 and the lining 14 for permitting the movement of the lining 14 in the direction of approaching the base plate 12 while permitting the tilting displacement of the lining 14, when thrust against a brake disc, and a heat transfer suppressing member 44 arranged between the elastic member 40 and the lining 14. A body 34 of a rivet 30 has an abutting portion 34a for abutting on the base plate 12 and an intermediate portion 34b arranged between the abutting portion 34a and a head 32 and having a smaller diameter than the abutting portion 34a. A gap width S1 between the abutting portion 34a of the rivet 30 and a cylindrical portion 26 is smaller than a gap width S2 between the head 32 of the rivet 30 and the lining 14.
