PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase cutting accuracy for a booklet by preventing a movable stopper for abutting the tip part of the booklet from being displaced due to the vibration of a drive means when the edge of the booklet is cut. SOLUTION: This paper cutting device comprises a motor M1 driving carrying means 100 and 200 carrying the booklet SA, a motor M2 driving the movable stopper 221 capable of stopping the booklet SA at a prescribed position, a motor M4 driving a pressing member 240 pressing the booklet SA, a motor M5 driving a cutting means 300 cutting the edge of the booklet SA, motors M6 and M7 driving a booklet storage means 400 storing the cut booklet SA, and a control means 90 controlling these motors. The control means 90 controls the motors of those means other than the cutting means 300 so that they are not operated when the motor M5 of the cutting means 300 is driven.
