DOOR HANDLE DEVICE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door handle device for an automobile capable of easily setting an operating point for an on-collision door-opening preventive means.

SOLUTION: The door handle device 1A for the automobile has a handle 3 mounted to a bracket 2 for a door body and capable of being operated from a door-closing place to a door-locking releasing place, and a lever 5 interlocked with the operation of the handle 3 and releasing the locking of a door-locking mechanism. The door handle device 1A further has the on-collision door-opening preventive means 10 preventing movement to the door-locking releasing place of the lever 5 when impact acceleration in the case of a side-face collision is inputted. The door-opening preventive means 10 has a stopper member 12 movably mounted by linear motion between a standby place permitting the movement to the door-locking releasing place of the lever 5 and a movement preventive place preventing the movement to the door-locking releasing place of the lever 5 and a first spring 13 urging the stopper member 12 on the standby place side.
