Heat exchange tubes connected to the flue of a stove, boiler or furnace burning solid fuel, are surrounded by a jacket, forming an indirect heat exchanger. Air surrounding the tubes is heated by convection and flows from a lower inlet (3) to a higher outlet (1), hence heating the room.
