<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a user from erroneously selecting an operating condition which is impossible to set, and facilitating setting of desired operating conditions. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, it is decided whether a support function key has been depressed (step SP1); and when the key has been depressed, it is decided whether an original is a one-side original or a both-side original (step SP2 to step SP4).
