<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling apparatus which can detect abnormality of supplied amount of air by clogging and foreign matters of the filter installed at air feed passage of a battery mounted on a vehicle, and electric power source device equipped with the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling apparatus is provided with an air intake duct 1 to communicate the automobile interior with the battery case 12 interior, a fan unit 3 to supply air into the battery case 12 via the air intake duct 1, and a control device 20. In fan unit 3, a fan 4 and a motor 5 driven by a constant voltage method are equipped. In the control device, a current value detecting part 23 and a determination part 21 are equipped. The current value detecting part 23 detects a current value of the current supplied to the motor 5. Detected current values and reference current values set beforehand are compared and when detected current value becomes below the reference current value, it is determined that there is abnormality in air capacity which is supplied to the battery case. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
