PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact segment connection type rotary electric machine which is excellent in manufacturability and anti-vibration characteristics. SOLUTION: A tapping lead wire 10 from a segment sequential joint stator coil 6 consisting of square rod to a cluster block (connector box) 13 on the outer peripheral surface of a stator core 12, is manufactured with a round wire separately from the segment sequential joint stator coil 6, which is welded to the tip of a tapping lead wire 9 consisting of projection part of a starting segment of the segment sequential joint stator coil 6. So, bending and laying of the terminal lead wire 10 or a tapping lead wire is easy, allowing a connector box to be arranged on the outer peripheral side of the stator core without obstructing workability, allowing a compact rotary electric machine.
