PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade coater capable of suppressing a coating liquid from being deposited and remained on a mask after coating, and a printing surface coater for a disc using this. SOLUTION: In the blade coater, the mask having an opening is superposed on a planar substrate and the mask is coated with the coating liquid by a blade relatively moved relative to the mask above the mask, thereby a coating layer is formed on a coating surface on the planar substrate exposed from the opening.
