Animal manure from cows, horses or fur animals has not been produced as a soil improving material on account of the unpleasant smell, or because the manure contains plant seeds, which easily grow. On the other hand, it has been used as such, as straight manure.This invention eliminates the smell problem and destroys the plant seeds in the manure. The process also increases the content levels of nutrients, dry material and permanent humus in the product.In the process, the manure is pressed into a pipe, where it is compressed into a hard mass, which is then ground up. The ground manure is passed through an additive device for the addition of bark and ash, and it is passed into a hammer mill, where the mixed manure is pulverised, then fine sand and ash is added, and finally the product is transferred by a pulverising conveyor to be packed. The product is used as soil improvement material. |
