PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod capable of visually recognizing varied patterns capable of visually recognizing different patterns by seeing directions. SOLUTION: In the fishing rod, a sheet body part 20 of a reel-fixing apparatus has a linear through hole for inserting a rod lever 10 and is formed of a transparent or translucent synthetic resin material and the shape of the sheet body part 20 when viewed in a plane or when viewed from the side is not constant over the longitudinal direction and the thickness of hole wall of the through hole is different according to the places and a fixed hood F1 is integrally formed on the rod base side of a reel leg-placing surface 20S and a coated film having uniform thickness over the longitudinal direction of the through hole is provided on the hole wall of the through hole and the coated film is constituted so as to contain particles generating interference light therein.
