A circuit arrangement has its power input connected in parallel in a power network during which the large electrical appliance is provided with an intrinsic control circuit influencing the power consumption and which has a power-limiting desired value input. A priority circuit is connected to the desired value inputs of the large electrical appliance so that, in each case, one or more desired value inputs selectively receives a maximum desired value corresponding to the maximum power.
