The device has two lamps (16, 18) mounted inside respective signal or lighting lamps, a third lamp (17, 19) mounted inside a third signal or lighting lamp, and a voltage regulator (32) having a voltage clipper (44). An electrical conductor (54) is connected directly to the output of the regulator and to one of the lamps (16, 18). The third lamp is connected to the conductor for being supplied via the conductor.
