PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube having improved focus performance while the astigmatism of electron beams has been corrected. SOLUTION: The main lens section of an electron gun has at least a focusing electrode 31 and a final acceleration electrode 33. The final acceleration electrode 33 comprises a cylindrical electrode 33a common to three electron beams; a pair of first electrodes 35 that is provided in the cylindrical electrode 33a nearly in parallel with a horizontal direction (the arrangement direction of three electron beams) and has operation for correcting each astigmatism of the three electron beams; and a pair of second electrodes 36 that is provided in the cylindrical electrode 33a nearly in parallel with a vertical direction and has weak opposite operation to operation for correcting each astigmatism of the three electron beams.
