A console for gambling machines, comprises a face plate (1) having an aperture (6) through which the display of the machine may be viewed. A plurality of smaller apertures (7) are provided for receiving controls and further apertures (8,9) being provided for a numeric display and a coin receiver. The face plate (1) being pivotally mounted with means (12) being provided to limit pivotal movement of the face plate (1) away from the body of the machine.
