PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container that has a heat retaining layer, thus reducing tasks in an installation place, and is easily transported, and to provide a manufacturing method for the container and a transport method for the container. SOLUTION: The container 1 includes a container body 10 having an approximately cylindrical barrel 11, a heat retaining layer 30 disposed on the peripheral face 11a of the barrel and retaining heat in the container body, and at least two support members 41 and 42 disposed on the peripheral face of the heat insulating layer 30 and supporting the container body laid lengthwise. The length T2 of each support member is greater than the length T1 of the heat retaining layer T1 in the direction in which the length T2 is almost perpendicular to the peripheral face. In this case, since the length T2 of each of the support member 41 and 42 is greater than the length T1 of the heat retaining layer, the container can be transported while the container body 10 laid lengthwise is supported by the support members 41 and 42.
