PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular braking unit which has a simple structure to improve operability in a braking operation. SOLUTION: The vehicular braking unit comprises a plurality of wheel cylinders 14A, 14B, 14C, 14D each of which presses a friction member and communicates mutually, a braking operation quantity detecting means which detects the quantity of a braking operation by a driver, and hydraulic valves 15A, 15B, 15C, 15D which open/close to control a hydraulic system between a master cylinder 3 and at least one of the wheel cylinders 14A, 14B, 14C, 14D. The hydraulic valves 15A, 15B, 15C, 15D are opened and closed on the basis of a braking operation quantity detected by the braking operation quantity detecting means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
