PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration-proof system securely setting a vibration-proof control characteristic suitable for a state in which a camera device is supported by a user (photographer) or a state in which the camera device is supported by a stand such as a tripod, by detecting whether a grip section is gripped when the user (photographer) supports the camera device and by switching the vibration-proof control characteristic according to the result of the detection. SOLUTION: The gripping section 60 of the drive unit 20 of a lens device 14 (ENG lens) composing the television camera device has a support-on-shoulder/tripod switch 100. When a photographer grips the gripping section 60 to use the television camera device on his shoulder, the switch 100 is turned on. This automatically switches the vibration-proof control characteristic to the one suitable for use on the shoulder. When the television camera device is used in the state of being fixed on the tripod, the support-on-shoulder/tripod switch 100 is off, and in that case, the vibration-proof control characteristic suitable for use on the tripod is set.
