PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common electrode drive power source in which the period for generating flicker is short in a power starting period while setting of exact voltage with less fluctuation in a normal period is made and power consumption in a standby period is reduced, and also to provide a display device having the same. SOLUTION: The common electrode driver power source 320 of the display device includes: a power supply part 321 for starting; and a power supply part 322 for normal use and standby which are appropriately selected by control of a display control circuit 210. In the power supply part 321 for starting, reference voltage Vd for a common electrode which reaches a desired voltage value in a short period of time (sharply) from the starting point of time is generated, since no low-pass filter including a first capacitor 3213 is formed. The power supply part 322 for normal use and standby generates more exact voltage with the least fluctuation by a buffer part 3223 and a variable resistor 3226 for regulation in the normal period and separates the buffer part 3223 by a switching part 3224 in the standby period to reduce current consumption.
