PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer method which reduces a contact noise caused by a changing of pallets. SOLUTION: Direction turning machines are provided to both gateways, and an elevator is provided. Then multilayer garages are provided on both sides, and a root rail 4 is provided on the front of each story. Then a self-propelled dolly 3 is set on a vehicle-mounted elevator. A vehicle body is transferred between the existing housing device and the housing device of the self-propelled dolly 3 by alternate movements of the up, front, down, and rear directions of a plurality of runners 7 by eccentric wheels 5 which rotate identically with a clutch by adjusting the level of the runners 7 to the position of the garage of the root rail of each of the stories.
