PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely lock and unlock by supplying a power in a no-contact state without causing inconvenience such as lockout resulting from the exhaustion of a battery. SOLUTION: This electronic key 1 comprises a chargeable secondary battery 1a and an operation part 1b instructing the locking or unlocking of the electric lock 2. When the operation part 1b is operated, the power is supplied from the secondary battery 1a to its circuit and locking/unlocking information for locking/unlocking the electric lock 2 is sent out from a coil 3 together with a power by exciting the coil 3 as a primary side winding. The electric lock 2 receives, in a non-contact state, the power and the locking/unlocking information sent out from the coil 3 of the electronic key 1 from the coil 6 as the secondary winding by an electromagnetic coupling action, supplies the power to its circuit, collates the locking/unlocking information received together with the power from the electronic key 1 with registered information permitting the locking/unlocking of the lock stored beforehand, and only when both of these information match each other, locks and unlocks the lock based on the locking/unlocking information.
