<p>The invention concerns a method for preparing a mixture from at least two liquid substances A, B, the volume Vm of the mixture being, in ambient space, greater than the sum of the volumes Va, Vb individually occupied by the substances before being mixed. Said method includes at least the following successive steps: a) providing a device (1) for storing and mixing said two substances (A, B) comprising first and second stoppers (8, 9) separated by a closure (11) and defining in a first storage configuration first and second functionally sealed chambers (12, 13), said second chamber (13) being filled with said volume Vb so as to leave only a volume of gas, not more than the volume equivalent to the product of the surface of the inner section of said hollow portion by a free distance not more than 2.5 mm; b) moving the first stopper (6) with moving means; c) transferring said volume Va from said first chamber (12) into said second chamber (13).
