PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in limiting uses according to applications because chloroprene polymer is readily discolored with light or heat though the chloroprene polymer is used as an adhesive composition for various applications because good adhesiveness to a plurality of adherends is exhibited. SOLUTION: The chloroprene polymer is obtained by carrying out emulsion polymerization in the presence of a rosin acid having≤4 Gardner color scale and a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether sulfate. Furthermore, the chloroprene polymer preferably contains at least one kind of compound selected from benzotriazole ultraviolet light absorbers, hindered amine light stabilizers and phenolic antioxidants.
