<p>Disclosed are a method of improving the sound-absorbing performance of wood and a sound-absorbing wood material prepared thereby. More specifically, disclosed are a method of improving the ability of wood to absorb sound waves incident in the fiber direction of the wood, the method comprising delignif ication of wood to remove substances present in intercellular and other regions of cell walls so as to increase the porosity of the wood, as well as a sound-absorbing wood material prepared by the method.</p> |
